On the way to the Bazaar. Picture of the Muslim women.
The Bazaar. Again, they will hassle you until you buy something.
Streets of Cairo.
At the top of one of the Mosques. View of Cairo.
In the Mosque. We had to take our shoes off. Thank goodness I cut my toenails. :) I also had to cover my hair with one of their cloths.

This is near the Payramids. The Egyptians with their funny camels.

Look how huge these pyramids are! You can see how small the people are next to the pyramid. well, the people aren't small, the pyramid is just big. :)

Moving on to Dahab, Egypt for a little r&r and scuba diving. We actually completed part of our certification in Amsterdam, but had to finish up the rest in Egypt.

This is the resort we stayed in. One thing that's great about Egypt is that everything is so cheap--especially when you come with the dollar. This resort was awesome, but very cheap. Dahab is a cool place and very laid-back. If you walk into town to eat, all the restaurants have carpets and pillows on the floor where you just chill and smoke a shisha (flavored water pipe). I've never experienced anything like it. We had so much fun that we want to come back again for another scuba diving trip.

Pictures of our resort in Dahab, Egypt. It's right next to the Sinai mountains.

Resort-Dahab, Egypt.

Resort was on the beach.

So beautiful!

Dahab.

Ok, this is the place where we got geared up for our scuba dives. It was a hotel/dive place full of scuba divers.

This is where we did our diving.

Diving spot.

Here I am with the instructor. We are testing to make sure there is oxygen flowing freely through our regulators.

Our equipment.

Wes getting geared up.

As promised, Wes in a wetsuit!

In between dives we would chill here and drink Egyptian tea. You had to stay out of the water for a certain amount of time before you could go for the next dive. Your body needs to release the nitrogen accumulated in your tissues as you are diving.

Next we took some camels up a mountain and had a real Bedouin dinner. Our guide cooked it for us and two of his nephews guided the camels.

Our guide making the tea first.

In the meantime, we took a walk up one of the mountains.

View from the top. You can see Saudi Arabia in the distance.

Our dinner. it was really good, actually.

On the way down with the camels. My camel was seriously ill. He kept foaming at the mouth and making funny sounds. And he also smelled really bad. It was delightful.
That concludes our Egypt trip! Thanks for reading our blog!
